Ru: It was our last gig in Dushanbe and we were sad to go. We’d made a lot of friends among the local scene, so they invited us for a jam session at the Music Museum, which is a focus point for the musicians in the area. It felt a little formal with the audience seated in front of us, but they soon warmed up and we even had a couple of slamdancers up the front. But the best bit of the night for us was discovering Red Planet, a Tajik metal band consisting of three girls (two of them twins) and one dude. Talking to them later, they told us that, at first, people had laughed at girls playing metal, but they’d proved themselves more than worthy. Goodbye Tajikistan – we had a great time!
