Travka was in London recently and stopped in at the BBC Olympic studios to talk all things White City and Kabul rock. They even showed a clip of the Space Cadet video.

Reuters produce yet another article on the Kabul rock scene, describing White City’s Travis “Travka” Beard as “godfather of rock”.
The brand new rock school at Kabul’s Venue is a first for Afghanistan. Travka teaches guitar there on a Saturday and Ru and Andreas are regular visitors. The female students are a first too – many find it hard to play guitar, especially with prevalent attitudes mocking them.
As for District Unknown – they remain the most current and relative alternative band in the country. Just check some of the quotes from Pedram, Qasem and Qais.
